• Dynamic Positioning Advanced (Simulator) Course (300)
This four-day course covers practical operation of the DP system, Simulated DP operations including errors faults & failures, DP alarms, warnings and emergency procedures. Used extensively in the offshore industry, dynamic positioning equipment can be found onboard vessels requiring precise positioning such as drilling, cable and pipe laying, dive and ROV support and FPSO vessels and Jack-up Barges. Dynamic positioning equipment is also used extensively on vessels and units operating in deep water and areas of environmental sensitivity where traditional anchoring techniques are not possible.
Dynamic Positioning Advanced (Simulator) Course (300) can be taken for current DPO’s whom need to Revalidate their current Nautical Institute certificate and do not have the required 150 days to revalidate their current Nautical Institute certificate.
- If the DPO has less than 150 DP sea time days within the preceding 5 years, complete a DP Simulator Course followed by a minimum of 30 DP sea time days on a DP classed vessel

Our DP Advanced Training Courses:
DP Sea Time Record 60 DP sea time days are required for Phase B. These should be completed on a DP classed vessel and be stamped and signed in the logbook by the master of the vessel. This time must be completed after the DP Induction Course. A minimum of two hours per day can be counted as a DP day.
During these 60 DP sea time days, all items in the Task sections of the logbook must also be completed. The applicant will not be permitted to attend the DP Simulator Course until all tasks have been completed.
